Questions and answers

What people ask us

  1. How long is the show?

An hour and a half, in a single set. It is built to be the highlight of the night, from start to finish.

  2. What is the line-up?

Six musicians: two guitars and vocals, bass, drums, trombone and tenora. Bass, trombone and tenora also sing backing vocals. Meet them in the band.

  3. What kind of music do you play?

    Cross-border Catalan rumbawith cobla influences.

Original songs in Catalan, such as La Cabra Ska, Xisku de Ceret and El Burro Català, plus the great Catalan rumba classics everyone dances to. Tenora and trombone bring the sound of the cobla.

  4. Do you sing in Catalan?

Our own songs are in Catalan, and the set is completed with rumba classics. We answer in Catalan, Spanish, French and English.

  5. Do you bring a sound system?

No. PA, mixing desk (24 channels minimum), lights and sound engineer are provided by the organiser. We bring all our backline and in-ear monitors. Full details are in the technical rider.

  6. What stage do you need?

Minimum 8 × 6 m, covered and level, with two 2 × 2 m risers for bass and drums, and power outlets. The stage plot is in the rider.

  7. How long do you need to set up?

One hour of set-up and one hour of soundcheck before the show. We ask for a dressing room for six people and water.

  8. Is there a smaller format for small venues or tight budgets?

Yes: Els Delai as a duo, and two sister duos, LiveLola and El Gordo y el Flaco. If the venue has the stage and tech for six musicians, we can talk about the full band too.

  9. Where do you play?

All over Catalonia, Northern Catalonia, Andorra and the south of France. We are based in the Empordà and the Vallespir. Travel is quoted according to distance. We have also played in Paris, Brussels, Switzerland and Rome.

  10. What events do you play?

Mainly as the headline concert of town festivals, at music festivals and fairs. Also venues and cultural events.

  11. How do we book you and how is it invoiced?

Write to us with the date, place and type of event, and we will send a fixed quote and the rider. We sign a contract and the show is paid against an official VAT invoice issued by our management company to the council, organisation or committee.
